1. Eligibility & Authorisation

Access to the CRN Director Portal is restricted to individuals who are the verified owner or an explicitly authorised administrator of a Discord server. By proceeding, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the server you are connecting is under your lawful control. Communities with 50 or more genuine human members automatically unlock additional CRN protections, including Anti-NSFW filtering. CRN reserves the right to verify ownership at any time and to revoke access where eligibility cannot be established.

2. Acceptable Use

The CRN Director Portal and all associated tooling — including ChevLink Cyber, ChevLink Lens, network ban infrastructure, and incident management systems — must be used solely for legitimate, good-faith community moderation. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Using enforcement tools against members without reasonable, documented cause.
• Operating the portal for commercial gain, data harvesting, or competitive intelligence gathering.
• Attempting to access, modify, or interfere with data belonging to other CRN partner servers.
• Automating actions through the portal beyond the features explicitly provided.
• Using CRN tooling to facilitate brigading, targeted harassment, or coordinated attacks against individuals or communities.

Violation of acceptable use policies will result in immediate suspension without notice and may be referred to Discord's Trust & Safety team.

3. Moderation Standards

All moderation actions executed through CRN systems must comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable local laws. Directors are fully responsible for the conduct of any safety team members they grant access to under their account. Specifically:

• Moderation must be proportionate, consistent, and applied without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Retaliatory moderation — action taken against a member in response to legitimate criticism, appeals, or complaints — is grounds for immediate removal from the CRN network.
• All bans, kicks, and timeouts applied through CRN tooling should be documented with a clear, factual reason.
• Directors must not use CRN systems to evade or circumvent Discord's own appeal or enforcement processes.

4. Network Ban Integrity

Network bans are a shared enforcement mechanism propagated across all CRN partner servers. Because a network ban affects members beyond your own community, the submission standard is elevated:

• Every network ban submission must be accompanied by verifiable evidence (screenshots, logs, or linked incidents) sufficient to justify the ban to an independent reviewer.
• Bans submitted on the basis of rumour, unverified reports, or personal grievance — without corroborating evidence — are a serious violation.
• Politically motivated bans, including bans designed to suppress speech or punish association with particular communities or viewpoints, are prohibited.
• CRN staff conduct routine audits of network ban submissions. Directors whose submissions are found to lack adequate justification will receive a formal warning; repeat violations will result in removal and may be reported to Discord.

False or malicious network ban submissions may constitute tortious interference under applicable law. CRN reserves the right to pursue legal remedies in serious cases.

5. Incident Reporting & Record Accuracy

All incidents, reports, and case notes logged through the Director Portal must be factually accurate and created in good faith. Fabricating, exaggerating, or omitting material facts in incident records is a fundamental breach of network trust. CRN retains the right to audit any incident record at any time. Inaccurate records may be corrected or removed, and the Director responsible may face suspension.

6. Data Privacy & Handling

CRN collects and processes member data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including but not limited to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) where applicable. As a Director, you act as a data controller in respect of the member data within your server. Your obligations include:

• Not exporting, sharing, selling, or otherwise exploiting member data obtained through CRN for any purpose beyond legitimate moderation of your own server.
• Ensuring member data is stored securely and is accessible only to authorised safety team members with a legitimate need.
• Promptly notifying CRN if you become aware of any data breach involving information accessed through the platform.
• Complying with member subject access requests where required by law.

7. Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Director Portal access. This includes:

• Never sharing your Discord credentials or portal session with any other individual.
• Ensuring that any safety team members added under your account are trusted individuals who understand and agree to these regulations.
• Enabling two-factor authentication on your Discord account.
• Immediately notifying CRN support (support@crnsecure.com) if you suspect your account has been accessed without authorisation.

CRN accepts no liability for actions taken through a Director account that has been compromised due to inadequate security practices on the Director's part.

8. ChevLink Cyber Bot Obligations

By adding ChevLink Cyber to your server, you grant the bot the permissions necessary to carry out its moderation functions. You acknowledge that:

• ChevLink Cyber will apply network bans automatically as they are issued by CRN; it is your responsibility to ensure your server's members understand this policy.
• You must not attempt to circumvent, disable, or manipulate the bot's enforcement actions without prior approval from CRN staff.
• Any configuration changes made through the portal or the /setup command become active immediately and affect your live server.
• CRN may update the bot's capabilities, behaviour, or required permissions from time to time. Continued use following notice of changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, interfaces, designs, trademarks, and content comprising the CRN Director Portal and ChevLink suite are the exclusive intellectual property of CRN and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the portal solely for the purposes described herein. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of any CRN software or content.

10. Service Availability & Changes

CRN provides the Director Portal on an "as available" basis. CRN does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access. CRN reserves the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue any feature or the platform as a whole at any time, with or without prior notice. Where commercially reasonable, CRN will provide advance notice of significant changes through the portal or via the registered contact method.

11. Termination

CRN may terminate or suspend your access to the Director Portal at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these regulations, at CRN's sole discretion, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access the portal and all associated services ceases immediately. Provisions of these regulations that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including sections on data handling, intellectual property, and limitation of liability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CRN and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Director Portal, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or community goodwill. CRN's aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees (if any) paid by you to CRN in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law

These regulations are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these regulations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.

14. Agreement & Acceptance

By checking the box below and proceeding, you confirm that: (a) you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Community Regulations in full; (b) you are the legitimate owner or an authorised administrator of the server you are connecting; (c) you accept full personal responsibility for all moderation actions and enforcement decisions taken through your CRN Director account and by any safety team members operating under it; and (d) you are aged 16 years or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian where required by your local law.
